Land Training

Land Training

Sailfish Swim Academy incorporates land training as part of its comprehensive swim program to help students improve their overall swimming performance.

The program starts with a 15-minute warm-up, which includes head movements, arm swings, and squats to get the body ready for more intense exercises. This is followed by a 15-minute running session with speed up and speed maintain calls to improve cardiovascular endurance.

For students aged below 7 years old, the academy provides a 20-minute stroke strength training session that includes windmill arms, stream line, plank arm rises, plank, star jumps, backstroke kicks, freestyle kicks, and squats. These exercises help develop coordination, balance, and agility in young children.

To ensure proper form and technique, the academy also offers a 10-minute stroke correction session that focuses on double and single hand catch, fast pulls for freestyle, breaststroke with streamlines, backstroke with one hand up and one hand down, and butterfly stroke with arm and head movements.

Finally, the academy includes a 5-minute stretching session to improve flexibility and reduce the risk of injury. This includes neck stretches, shoulder rows, prone chest stretches, reverse bridges, sitting hamstring stretches, triceps stretches, butterfly stretches, knee to chest stretches, and extended puppy poses. Overall, land training at Sailfish Swim Academy provides numerous benefits to students, including increased strength, improved technique, better coordination and balance, and reduced risk of injury.
