Butterfly

Butterfly

At Sailfish Swim Academy, we teach butterfly stroke in a step-by-step manner to ensure that students can master the basics before advancing to more complex techniques.

For basic butterfly,

  1. We begin with the caterpillar exercise, which involves emulating a wave-like motion with the body five times.
  2. Next is the cocoon exercise, where the hands are brought forward and the chest is pushed downwards to emulate a wave-like motion.

Once the basic techniques are mastered,

  1. We teach the butterfly stroke with proper hand pulls.
  2. For advanced butterfly, we focus on synchronizing the arms and legs to achieve the stroke momentum.
  3. Students will be able to swim six laps of butterfly with momentum stroke and alternate their breathing to improve their endurance and technique.

Our experienced coaches are dedicated to ensuring that each student receives personalized attention and guidance throughout the learning process.
