Our swimming learning program is designed to help participants of all ages master swimming skills in a fun and safe environment. From beginners to advanced levels, this program focuses on proper techniques, water safety, and building confidence to become a skilled swimmer.

Do I need to be in pool with my child?

Our pre-school lessons do not require parent to be in the pool.

Expectation for 7 year old and above is to complete 1 stroke in a year. Half a year will be spent to complete safety and self-rescue. Then, we will focus on teaching them to swim independently. After 2 years, he/she is expected to complete all 4 strokes, free, back breast and fly and go for novice competitions. However, this varies highly based on child water adaptability, trauma experience, and willingness to socialize with strangers.

Absolutely! We are thrilled to offer a free trial class at Bukit Kemuning Golf & Country Club, JFL Kinrara Club House and Tropicana Aman Recreational Hub, whereas a trial at Sailfish Young Talent Swim Academy is charged at RM100, and a trial at Tropicana Golf & Country Club is RM87.50 (excluding SST). We can’t wait for you to experience all that we have to offer. It’s a fantastic opportunity to try out our program and see if it’s the right fit for you. Swimwear – Choose a comfortable and appropriate swimsuit that fits well and allows freedom of movement. Avoid loose or baggy clothing, which can become heavy and uncomfortable when wet.

Goggles – Goggles can help your child see underwater and boost their confidence in the water.

Swim cap – For children with long hair, a swim cap can help keep hair out of their face.
However, it is not necessary.

Kickboard – Kickboard is essential to help children learn proper kicking techniques and build strength in their legs.

Towels – Towels to dry off after the lesson.

Extra clothes – Have a change of clothes ready for your child after the lesson to ensure your child is comfortable and warm after the lesson.

As a parent, there are several things you can do to help your child succeed with swimming. Here are some tips:

  1. Encourage and Support: Show your child that you believe in them and their abilities. Encourage them to keep trying and support them throughout the learning process.
  2. Consistency: Consistency is key when it comes to swimming. Regular practice and attending lessons consistently can help your child improve their skills and build confidence in the water.
  3. Positive Reinforcement: Celebrate your child’s successes, no matter how small. Positive reinforcement and praise can go a long way in building your child’s confidence and motivation to continue learning.
  4. Practice Outside of Lessons: Take your child to the pool outside of lessons and practice swimming skills together. This can be a fun way to reinforce what they are learning in lessons and build upon their skills.
  5. Safety First: Always prioritize safety in and around the water. Make sure your child knows basic water safety rules and is supervised by an adult at all times when in or around water.
  6. Be Patient: Learning to swim can be challenging and may take time. Be patient with your child and allow them to progress at their own pace.
  7. Build Water Confidence: Help your child build water confidence by playing games and having fun in the water. This can help reduce any fears or anxieties they may have about swimming.
  8. Stay Positive: Maintain a positive attitude towards swimming, even if your child is struggling. Encourage them to keep going and remind them of the benefits of being a confident swimmer.
  9. Consider Private Lessons: If your child is struggling or needs extra attention, consider private swimming lessons. Private lessons can provide more one-on-one attention and tailored instruction to meet your child’s needs.

Yes, your child can eat before their swimming lesson, but it is recommended to wait at least an hour after eating before getting in the water. Eating a heavy meal immediately before swimming can cause discomfort and may make it harder for your child to swim comfortably. It’s best to encourage your child to eat a light meal or snack before their lesson to provide them with the energy they need to swim. Examples of suitable pre-swim snacks include fruit, yogurt, and whole grain crackers. Additionally, it’s important to ensure that your child stays hydrated before, during, and after their swimming lesson, so encourage them to drink plenty of water.

Absolutely, we understand that sometimes there may be circumstances that require you to freeze your child’s swimming lessons for a month. If you would like to book your slots in advance and pay the fees in advance, we can make the necessary arrangements. However, please keep in mind that if your child is a beginner, missing lessons consistently may have a negative impact on their progress. We highly recommend attending lessons consistently to build muscle memory, endurance, and to develop their skills.
